A sculpture you are allowed to sit in.

AARE is carved as one continuous form in burnt orange, a thick curling back that folds down into a solid seat and two block feet. It is the least conventional thing we make, and it works best alone in a corner.

Every piece leaves the artisan's hands unrepeated. Clay, wood and fiber answer to sun, season and touch, so tone, texture and finish shift softly from one piece to the next. These variations are not imperfections: they are the signature of the hands that made it, proof that no other home holds a piece exactly like yours.
