A platform, and a place to lean.

MEZCALAPA is a bed and a floor at once. Its wide upholstered plinth surrounds the mattress on every side, forming a step you can sit on, set a book on, or simply leave empty. Two square cushions serve as the headboard.

Every piece leaves the artisan's hands unrepeated. Clay, wood and fiber answer to sun, season and touch, so tone, texture and finish shift softly from one piece to the next. These variations are not imperfections: they are the signature of the hands that made it, proof that no other home holds a piece exactly like yours.
